The next morning, the turtles met in the lobby, the couples arm in arm. Leo and Don neglected to wear their masks. Don's leg was almost completely healed. "Whoa, you guys look all naked. Any reason why you're not wearing masks?" Mikey said quietly.
"No, not really."
"Kay. Let's grab some breakfast. I'm in the mood for pancakes!" said Mikey. They stepped out and walked to a diner. Mikey ordered blueberry pancakes. Raph ordered bacon and eggs. Don ordered eggs and coffee. Leo ordered french toast. "So. I wonder how we'll get into the Viper's place without raising an alarm." said Don.
"Are we even going in? What if we can do something else to save Master Splinter?" said Leo.
"Hmm... Well I guess we'll find out at Peter's place."
They finished eating and went over to Peter's and Sparky's house. Sparky answered the door, "Hello boys," He smiled, "Come in."
They walked in and sat on the couch just like before, only more comfortable to admit affection for their lovers. Peter noticed and smiled as he stepped into the doorway of the kitchen, "Good morning boys. Did you sleep well?"
"Terriffic, thank you." said Leo.
"That's good to hear. Can I get you anything to eat or drink?"
"That's okay, we just ate."
"Okay," Peter laid back on the couch with Sparky, "We're waiting for someone."
"Oh it's the turtles!" said someone in the kitchen.
Nikki, Mandy, and a young shark man walked out. The shark was very muscular wearing only jeans.
"Hey! It's Nikki, and Mandy! And who's this?" said Mikey.
"That's Lanny" said Peter.
"Nice to meet you four. Master Splinter has told me a lot about you."
"We asked around and these three were eager to help."
There was a knock at the door. "Ah, that must be Dane," Peter opened the door. A mature brown wolf stood at the door. "Dane, come in, sit down. Would you like a drink?"
"Water please."
Peter took a quick trip to the kitchen and came out with a glass of water, "So, Dane, meet Leo, Don, Raph, Mikey, Nikki, Mandy, and Lanny."
"Nice to meet you."
"Everybody, this is Dane. He's the only shape-shifter expirament animal that escaped. He traveled underground all night to get here."
"He knows almost everything about the Vipers and their laboratory."
"Yes. I was able to keep samples of the shape-shifting gene," he pulled out a test tube full of black muck.
"Eww." said Mikey.
Dane smiled softly, "This'll help you to sneak in. It's only a prototype though, so it only works a week at most."
"Okay. So how are we gonna do this?" Asked Leo.
"You four and I will sneak in. There's not enough of the genes for the other three of you, so Lanny and Mandy will have to keep watch outside. We'll alert them of trouble. Nikki, you own a store, so you must have some useful resources."
"And when will this be?" Asked Don.
"We'll go tonight. Most of the doctors are away at night. Nikki, let's visit your store to get ready."
"Best of luck boys." Peter called as they left. Sparky curled up with Peter on the couch in mutual hopes that Master Splinter be returned safely.

"Okay, Nikki, what have you?" said Dane.
"Well... I have a camera here. So we can see how things are going." She pulled out four small cameras and a monitor, "Mm. And a tazer. That could be useful... Oh, and this," She pulled out another green flask, only much darker, "A little of this will heal any non-fatal wound within minutes."
"Okay, thank you Nikki. Everyone prepare yourselves for tonight. We meet at 9:00 at Peter's." Dane turned around and left at a fast walk. The turtles looked at each other.
